We don’t view sustainability as just another box to check, we believe it is our responsibility to minimise the impact of our business on the environment and work towards being the most sustainable business we can be. So, what is it that we do here at Vlentec?
A brighter future
As with most businesses, we have office and factory space to power. We strove to find the most environmentally friendly source of power we could use, whilst still achieving the energy efficiency we require. This led us to our solar panelled roof which has provided abundant energy for our team so far, without impacting the planet in the process. We also use LED for our office and factory lighting to maximise our generated solar energy as much as possible.
Going electric
Sometimes travelling by car is unavoidable, however, we aspired to introduce some more sustainable solutions. Firstly, we endeavour to avoid unnecessary road travel as far as possible, however, on the occasions that we do travel by car, we drive electric. All of our company cars are fully electric or hybrid and we provide free charging facilities at our factory and office.
No time to waste
We are conscious that as a company which manufactures products, we must monitor our material waste. We place recycling and waste minimisation at the top of our priority list for our office and factory. We strive to make the most of the materials that we use in an effort to help reduce our waste. Meanwhile, for anything that is inevitably thrown away, if it can be recycled, it will be recycled.
Every little thing counts
We are dedicated to our efforts to reduce our environmental impact and continue to work towards sustainable solutions to our everyday business practices wherever possible. We believe that through small, incremental changes we can continue to develop into the sustainable business we aspire to be.
